Memory Alexandra is an American born singer and songwriter with Nigerian Heritage. She was born in Denver, Colorado on September 27th, 1984. Her love for music and gift in composition was evident right around the time she was learning how to walk. She was notorious for using sticks, boards and whatever she could get her hands on to create beats and lyrics nobody else had ever heard before. She did not know until she was much older than she was even creating music.
Memory’s childhood was far from smooth. Growing up Memory was abused physically and emotionally by many of the people that she was closest to. Their pessimistic spirits and cruel behavior rained down and nearly extinguished Memory’s longtime dream of being a professional singer and songwriter.  Many of these people were determined to prevent Memory from living the life for her that was indubitably destined, and they went as far as sabotaging even her smallest successes in hopes of muting the powerful voice buried deep down inside of her.
To arrive at this point in life, Memory has overcome many obstacles including numerous instances of financial betrayal and physical assault. Instead of getting even and succumbing to be less, Memory has chosen faith over fear. Memory prays that everything she has gone through will coat her voice allowing her to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and empower them to step into their own destiny’s. The single she recently released, “Ride,” aims to accomplish this very thing. In her own words, Memory was quoted saying “Taking control of who you are required defining your destiny and who you could be in spite of the circumstances that you have faced. To discover your inner man and strength, one must take a bold step by faith to become who they are created to be. You can truly become whatever you want to be and if you set your mind on it, no one can stop your destiny. Stay alive and fight to be you. You’re in charge of who you are born to be.
